Triple Play at the Lake Country Boys and Girls Clubs

Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Lake Country is proud to offer the Triple Play Summer Program, a fully funded program sponsored by the Coca-Cola Company Foundation for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12. Triple Play is comprised of three components: Mind, Body, and Soul. Mind helps children develop healthy habits, Body promotes becoming more physically active on a daily basis, and Soul strengthens interpersonal skills and self-esteem through social recreational programs.

The goal of this summer program is to embody all three aspects of Triple Play. The program will connect the community with new opportunities for past members, current members, and new members alike to become involved in the Lake Country Boys and Girls Club. We hope to reignite the excitement to participate in our programs.

Triple Play offers a diverse calendar of activities. Each day the program starts with a group effort to cook lunch together, allowing children to gain confidence in the kitchen and knowledge of healthy choices. Following lunch, the program provides opportunities for children to participate in Yoga, Tae Kwon Do, Rock Climbing, Zumba, Basketball with University Athletes, and even more activities. We asked one child if they enjoyed an afternoon’s outing to a Tae Kwon Do lesson, they replied: “I would go there again right now!”
