NoFrills®: A Generous New Donor

Published September 15, 2016 19:44

Oliver residents have a new, affordable place to shop. On September 9th, Loblaws opened Kevin’s NoFrills® grocery store in Oliver. The grand opening included charitable donations to the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Oliver and the Oliver Food Bank.

The Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Oliver provides programs in the Oliver, Osoyoos, and Okanagan Falls areas. These programs include the Integrated Family Development Program, the Osoyoos Youth Lounge, and the Infant Development Program. With reliable support, families can overcome barriers and feel safe in their communities.

NoFrills® was born out of the inflation of the 1970s. The store lowered prices for consumers by foregoing advertisements, displays, and even clerks. Quality generic products kept consumers coming for thirty-eight years. Now, this Loblaws owned franchise operation is run across the country by local residents who are proud to showcase their name out front of their store.
