Kids Leave Foot Prints at Hoof Prints

This spring break, Club Members from Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Martin Avenue had the chance to bond with some friendly farm animals at Hoof Prints Barnyard. Hoof Prints has animals like goats, sheep, pigs, and ponies. The barnyard also has a playground for kids to use while they wait their turn to visit with the animals.

Staff members were impressed by Club Member's calm attitudes around the animals. Club Members were able to interact with the animals in a variety of ways under the guidance of Hoof Prints staff members. “We brushed the sheep and I got to take some wool home,” said one Club Member.

At the end of the outing, Club Members and staff were able to roast marshmallows and warm up by a fire. It was the perfect ending to a fun day spent outdoors. Club Members were reluctant to leave their new animal friends, but staff eventually got them on the bus to be safely transported back to the Martin Club.

Thanks for giving our Club Members such an immersive experience at your petting zoo, Hoof Prints!
