At the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs we value the organizations and individuals who work with us to provide the resources to ensure we can offer our children, youth and families the best programs and services needed.

Gorman Bros. Lumber Ltd. is one of those partners who support the work of the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Webber Rd Club and Westside Youth Centre.

This partnership was established the fall of last year between Webber Road Community Centre and Gorman Brother Ltd. When asked if they would like to be involved, they quickly jumped on board! Nicole Arkle, Gorman’s office administrator was an activist in promoting Gorman’s community engagement with the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Webber Road Community Centre just down the road from Gorman's Mill. Nicole encouraged employees to donate a percentage of their monthly income to Webber Road as well as the Westside Youth Centre. The monthly donation from the support of Gorman’s employees is a great contribution helping us deliver services to our children, youth and families in our West Kelowna Community.

“Gorman’s has seen the Okanagan grow, with a three generations family run business, we know how important it is to invest into the future and into the next generation. The Boys and Girls Club of the Okanagan does so much for the local community and families, we are honoured to help support them.” Nicole Akle, Gorman Bros.

Their efforts translate into more than just monetary donations. When asked if Gorman's Mill could help with the replacement of boards for our sandbox, again Gorman’s was pleased to take on the project.  Every generous gesture makes a difference to giving our young people and their families a safe place to belong.

We would like to thank Gorman Bros. Lumber Ltd. for their involvement!
