City Furniture Making a Difference in the Okanagan

Published June 06, 2016 20:35

City Furniture owner Ray Kandola believes in the importance of making a difference and giving back to the communities their stores are located in.

Today City Furniture staff from over 20 stores, as well as vendors, came together to enjoy a day of golf and team building. To kick off the tournament Ray, along with his team, presented a cheque to Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs for $1000. As the cheque was presented Ray spoke of the great work Boys and Girls Clubs are doing with kids in the community and how great it was to support our charity.

We truly appreciate City Furniture's commitment to helping us provide young people with a safe place to belong. With more than 1000 children and youth participating in programs and services every day, we can ensure kids who need us the most are ecouraged to discover, dream and grow to be healthy, successful, contributing members of the communities we serve - Diane Entwistle, CEO, Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs.
