Children in our communities, particularly those from financially challenged families in Kelowna and Penticton, are in need of increased opportunities to participate in regular physical activity. By offering a variety of physical activity options through our program, kids will develop healthy habits over the long term—including an increased level of physical fitness and the desire to engage in sport-specific activities that will lead to a healthier lifestyle.
Through the support of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Get in the Game program, children 0-14 years of age participating at Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Martin Ave and Penticton (Naramata) Clubs are becoming more active then ever.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Get in the Game is a program launched by Jumpstart Charities and Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada (BGCC) that aims to remove the financial barriers keeping many kids from participating in organized sports and physical activities. This program brings together Jumpstart’s funding support and Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada’s Clubs to help even more kids get off the sidelines and into the game.
Thank you to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Get in the Game program for giving our kids a chance to get physical in a safe place where they can discover, dream and grow.
Great futures start at the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs.
