This year marks Canada’s 150th Anniversary and the Peachland Boys and Girls Club is excited to be a part of a community activity to celebrate the momentous event! BEEPS (Bat Education and Ecological Protection Society) in partnership with the Peachland Visitor’s Centre, Chamber of Commerce, Peachland Community Arts Council, and Peachland Boys and Girls Club will be showcasing history and culture through a Canada 150 Scavenger Hunt.
From March 21st to 24th, 150 historically significant items will be displayed throughout the Visitor’s Centre, Art Gallery, and the Peachland Club. Participants will be given a list of items to locate and submit for a chance to win one of several fantastic prizes at our wrap up event at the Peachland Visitor’s Centre on March 24th. Watch for more information available soon.
To prepare for the event, the Peachland Club will be welcoming back local artist Roberta Farrely to facilitate a painting workshop for children to create works of art that will be on display throughout the scavenger hunt spaces. This free session will be held Saturday, March 18th from 12-4pm. All supplies will be provided. Please call the Club by March 13th to register as spots are limited.
