Burning Up the Catwalk: West Kelowna Firefighters Model for Charity

Published September 01, 2016 16:09

The heat of summer will continue into September. On Saturday, September 10th, West Kelowna Firefighters will stride down a catwalk for three charities. Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs, the Burn Fund, and Muscular Dystrophy will be receiving the proceeds from this posh evening.

Firefighters risk their lives for the safety and well-being of the community. The extra time and effort put into charitable endeavors shows how deeply these brave individuals care about others. Like Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs, firefighters ensure that people have safe places to grow and develop. They work around the clock to save both lives and livelihoods.

Tickets for Fight Fire with Fashion cost $45. The event will be taking place at Lions Community Hall. Indigenous World Winery will be serving drinks and Kelly O’Bryan’s Restaurant will be catering. In addition to fashion and food, there will be a Vegas Trip raffle, a Silent Auction, and door prizes!
