Interior Savings Unplug and Play Week is promoting seven days of opportunities for balancing technology use with time with family, creative pursuits, recreation, and connection to nature. Events will occur throughout the week of January 25-31 throughout the Central Okanagan. Interior Savings Unplug and Play week is being coordinated by United Way- Success by 6, CATCH, and the Partners for Literacy.
Interior Savings Unplug and Play Week was created recognizing facts such as:

• Movement, play, and positive relationships with caregivers are essential for healthy child development.
• Children today are increasingly connecting to technology and disconnecting from themselves, their close relationships, and nature.
• Families are looking for information and opportunities to unplug from their devices and participate in healthy ways in the community.

Parents are encouraged to pledge to be part of Unplug and Play week and to participate in the community activities for a chance to win prizes.
All Boys and Girls Clubs across Central Okanagan are running events and activities to support Unplug and Play Week. Plans include Game Nights, Legoland , Fort Building , PJ Pancake Breakfast , just to name a few. Please contact your local Club for more information.
